After 12 years of Liberal National Government, our police force was in crisis with critical staffing shortages.

Record police vacancies were putting community safety at risk and placing significant strain on existing officers.

We were elected to fix the mess.

My Government has:

  • Paid Student Police Officers while they study at the Goulburn Police Academy.
  • Ensured 1,000 newly graduated police officers will start work across metro, regional and rural NSW this year
This is the largest number of recruits in two years to attest the Goulburn Police Academy and a major boost to frontline policing and community safety.

In the Kogarah Electorate, there are 41 recruits graduating from the Goulburn Police Academy in the class of 364.
