My Government has awarded the tender for the initial scoping and design work for the rebuild of Carss Park Pool.

It was an election commitment of mine to work with Council and the Federal Government to rebuild the pool at Carss Park.

I am determined to see the pool rebuilt at the current site and this announcement is the first step towards delivering on that.

I would like to thank the Mayor Sam Elmir, Deputy Mayor Elise Borg and Councillors Kathryn Landsberry, Natalie Mort and Ash Ambihaipahar for their advocacy and support to save the pool.

I would also like to thank my community for the strong campaign that ensured our pool was not lost.
