I am pleased to announce that my Government will upgrade and re-develop the grass playground at Carlton South Public School.

The school’s P&C became increasingly concerned with the state of the playground due to its uneven surface being a serious safety risk for students.

Now, with the help of the P&C, we are delivering this upgrade to create a safer and more versatile open space.

The upgrade will include a complete returfing of the grassed area and improvements to the play equipment and smaller ball courts.

The new open space will also be available for the entire Carlton community to use via our share our space program, where we open school grounds to the public outside of school hours.

I want to thank the Carlton South P&C Association for their hard work and their amazing fundraising efforts that supported this very important project.
