Kogarah is an inner metropolitan seat located in Southern Sydney.

It covers the suburbs of Allawah, Beverly Hills, Bexley, Bexley North, Blakehurst, Carlton, Carss Park, Hurstville, Kingsgrove, Kogarah and South Hurstville.

More than half of the people in the electorate were born overseas. Kogarah is famous for its cultural diversity and is now home to Australians from many different countries – including China, England, Greece, Nepal, Lebanon, Macedonia, Italy, Ireland and India.
